We’re located inside the Martinez Library (740 Court Street) on the lower level. Come visit!

Hours

Tuesday to Saturday, 12 to 4 p.m.

(We’re closed Sunday and Monday.)

Donations

We welcome your gently used donations to the bookstore! Tax-deductible donation receipts are available upon request. 

​

Please follow these guidelines:

• Drop donations off when the library is open.

• We accept hard cover and paperback books, fiction, non-fiction, CDs, DVDs, books on CD, and children’s books. 

• Donations are limited to 4 boxes at a time. For larger donations, call us in advance at 925-646-9158.

• Don’t leave donations outside on the steps or around the side of the library. 

• We don’t accept magazines, record albums, VHS tapes, books in poor condition, Reader’s Digest condensed or abridged books, old computer manuals, encyclopedias or text books older than ten years.

Our next Bag-of-Books sale is Saturday, May 3rd, 
10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

​

Once a quarter, we hold a Bag-of-Books sale when you can fill a bag with books from our store and pay only $10 FOR THE WHOLE BAG! Members are welcome to come an hour early (at 9:30) to fill their bags first.
